We’re looking for an experienced System Administrator/DevOps, specialized in tracking and managing multiple hardware and software deployments of all realtime immersive experiences and products we’re creating for fortune 50 brands around the world – from entertainment and tech giants to household consumer product and pharma brands.
You’ll work with cross-discipline teams of artists, designers, modelers, and animators – as well as creative project and account managers – in a fast-moving creative studio system that is a part marketing agency and part game dev studio. And because our clients come to us for out-of-the-box creative solutions, there are always new challenges often involving cutting edge technologies.
The ideal candidate lives and breathes game functionality and is able to translate design ideas, concepts, and requirements into a functional and engaging interactive experience while maintaining a disciplined approach to development and adhering to best-practice software design patterns. You have exceptional SysAdmin and DevOps skills, a keen eye for detail, and the analytical skills to identify potential issues.
You are a ‘people person’ with excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude and a strong team ethic to help build and maintain a positive environment for sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Coordination & Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between internal teams (creative, technical, and operations) and external stakeholders and clients.
- Scheduling & Resource Allocation: Develop production schedules, request/ensure resource availability, and anticipate potential risks or challenges.
- Budgeting: Oversee production budgets (scoping, monitoring and revising), ensuring projects stay within financial constraints. Monitor out-of-scope requests and initiate additional estimates and approvals. Ensure any budgeting concerns/risks are flagged immediately to leadership.
- Creative Collaboration: Work closely with creative teams to ensure project objectives, vision, and creative goals are met while maintaining logistical and production feasibility.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve issues by identifying solutions and gaining appropriate approvals quickly and efficiently.
- Quality Control: Ensure that final deliverables meet the company’s standard of excellence, client expectations, and project specifications. Contribute to the strategic vision of projects and have ownership of the project’s delivery quality.
- Documentation: Approve and review production-related documents, including contracts, releases, schedules, and production reports (e.g. product review document) from the project coordinator.
- Client Interaction: Participate in client meetings and updates, providing production progress, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
- Revenue Generation: Manage accounts receivable and billing schedules for revenue and aid in achieving revenue goals. Responsible for weekly client billing administration and work with the finance/accounting team to ensure all invoices are being created and sent out in a timely manner.
- Post-Incident Reviews Capturing Pre Incidents and record post incidents if any.
- Preparation and Problem Solving.
- IT Support when needed, mostly when physical access is needed.
- Assisting the newcomers with accessing the internal software tools.
- Venue IT support, installation, debug, realtime (when physical presence is necessary).
- Internal communication.
- User permission and administration.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required.
- 2+ years of database, network administration, or system administration experience.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools.
- A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans.
- Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
